The plane was attempting to land but Cessna Citation rolled off the runway and caught fire according to local officials. Earnhardt's sister kelly reported via twitter that dale, his wife Amy Reimann, their daughter Isla, and the Pilots were all safe. Earnhardt Jr. is currently working as a racing analyst for NBC Sports. The FAA and NTSB are investigating the crash.
